GENERAL RULES
- 1. Respect the Staff.
The staff volunteer their time in order to bring you, the members, a comfortable site for which to roleplay on. If they can't get to your app the minute you post it, don't go shoving your wants and needs down their throats in the chatbox or through private messages. Don't troll or flame or otherwise. If you cause trouble for the staff, you'll find yourself off the site really fast.- 2. Respect the Members.
This goes for both members and staff alike. A site cannot thrive without its members, and so I ask that everyone be courteous and respectful within reason to each other. This rule isn't an excuse for members to complain to staff just because another member said "eat a d**k". If you feel that you are being picked on on purpose and are being singled out, don't go starting arguments or acting out against those that have wronged you. Simply let a staff member know and we will handle it for you.- 3. Pick your battles.
Staff are not required to give you a reason for anything. If they decline your application with a simple "no", they are well within their rights to not inform you why. If you feel you have been truly wronged and you are 100% right, you may ask another staff member to bring it up in the staff board and we may settle it there if the staff member you told feels you have a case. This does not mean you can always challenge a staff member every time you get an app denied. If we see you are abusing this we will, again, simply remove you from the site as you have become a nuisance to us. Hence the name of this rule: pick your battles.- 4. No mature/adult content.
Proboards made this rule, not us. If you were a parent and you wouldn't want your child seeing certain things, then don't put it on our site. Period.- 5. Signatures.
Keep them within 500 x 281 please. We don't want the site to look all stretched. In addition to that, once your character is approved you must place a link to their app in your signature within a timely manner.- 6. Amendments & New Rules.
At any time I can change a rule, add or remove one as I see fit. I will post an announcement if I have done so within a timely manner, and all members are expected to abide by these changes after that.- 7. Double Posting.
None of that. Your posts should be well thought out and done in one single post. There should be no reason to post twice in a row. If you're trying to get the attention of your other RPers, simply send a PM. The only exceptions to this is if you are in a DE thread, and your opponent has not posted for some specified period of time (which should be agreed upon before the fight starts). If they have passed that time limit, then you may post again and kill that person or whatever you'd like to do. Either that, or upon staff discretion. If you feel like you want the thread to end with you leaving, simply go back to your last post and modify it.- 8. First Person View.
None of this either. I don't want to see it within apps or in-character posting. That's just my biased opinion on the matter and I am forcing it onto all of you. If you don't like it, don't join. You may do any of this anywhere else in the OOC regions of the site. That I don't care about.- 9. Avatars.
These are to be 150 x 300 in size. Simple enough. Avatars must also be of your character's face claim.- 10. Accounts.
Registered accounts should be reserved only for staff and members whom are making characters. I don't want to see any random accounts floating around for the sake of advertising anything or OOC stuff.- 11. In-Character posting.
I'm not telling you to write a book, I just don't want to see a three line post and you feeling accomplished. If you can't write in paragraphs you shouldn't be RPing to begin with. On the topic of good and bad posting, no l33t speak. It's just annoying. Also try your best to watch your spelling and grammar. Again I don't expect everyone to be able to write like any famous authors, but if members find it hard to understand what you're writing you should take the time to try and better your writing skills. If you continue to write really horrible posts over a vague period of time, we'll simply ask you to leave nicely and come back after you have improved.- 12. Face Claims.
There are mandatory for all IC accounts. I won't say you are forbidden from using original art, however I discourage it due to issues that may arise in the future. If it becomes a problem, I will ban them, but for now they are allowed. In the original avatar world, everyone has black, brown or grey hair. Yes, there are no such things as blondes. However due to the nature of the site, face claims with any colour hair will be allowed, and ICly hair colours such as pink, green and blonde (for example) will be as normal as black or brown hair. Lastly, face claims from the original series ATLA or TLOK will not be allowed for use other than for staff accounts.
